Yield

Income generated from an asset.  In relation to the stock market it generally refers to income received by a certain stock, most of the time in % terms.  (Yield = dividend received/stock price). Usually given as a percentage and an annual yield.

Rent received from an investment property divided by that property’s current price also is referred to as rental yield.
