SCHW – The Charles Schwab Corporation

The Charles Schwab Corporation (SCHW) is a financial services firm providing (along with its subsidiaries) services such as wealth management, securities brokerage, banking, asset management and custody. SCHW was incorporated in 1971 and is headquartered in Westlake, Texas. The firm has a global presence, with around 400 domestic branch offices in the US, District of Columbia, Puerto Rico, the United Kingdom, Hong Kong, and Singapore.

SCHW operates in two segments, Investor Services and Advisor Services. The Investor Services segment provides retail brokerage, investment advisory, banking and trust, retirement plan, and other corporate brokerage services; as well as compliance solutions.

The Advisor Services segment offers a range of services including custodial, trading, banking, and support services; and retirement business and corporate brokerage retirement services as well as advice solutions, such as managed portfolios of proprietary and third-party mutual funds and ETFs, separately managed accounts, customized personal advice for tailored portfolios, and specialized planning and portfolio management. This segment also provides banking products and services e.g. checking and savings accounts, home equity lines of credit among many more.
