COP – ConocoPhillips

ConocoPhillips (COP) is the world’s largest independent exploration and production company. It explores, produces, transports and markets crude oil, bitumen, natural gas, liquefied natural gas (LNG), and natural gas liquids worldwide. The company was incorporated as a result of the merger of Conoco Inc. and Phillips Petroleum Company in 2001. It has 9,900 employees and operates in 15 countries over a span of 6 continents and segments its operations by region including the Lower 48 (61.6%), which includes the US and the Gulf of Mexico; Alaska (14.8%); Europe & MENA (12.2%); Asia Pacific (6.6%), and Canada (4.7%).

COP engages in the production of conventional and tight oil reservoirs, shale gas, heavy oil, LNG, oil sands, and other production operations. It has proven reserves of 4.5 billion barrels of oil equivalent and had a full year production averaging 1,127 MBOED (thousand barrels of oil equivalent per day) in 2020.
